When kids’ futures are on the line, tough questions aren’t enough.
An anonymous youth soccer supporter raised some fair points in “The Skeptic’s Corner” article, and I respect and appreciate them. But I’m not here to defend gimmicks. I’m here to defend the kids.
Let’s talk about what’s really at stake.
“If It Ain’t Broke…”
It’s not about fixing something broken.
It’s about building something better.
Millions of kids play soccer, sure.
But how many stick around?
How many truly thrive?
How many feel seen?
If the system works for some but leaves others behind, guess what, it’s not working as well as we think.

“The Cheapest Game on Earth”
Soccer? Dirt cheap. A ball. A field. Some friends. Done.
The system? Not so much. $2,000 club fees? Try telling that to a single parent.

Where’s the Proof?
The dropout rate isn’t a myth; it’s a mirror.
For instance, one analysis found that only 70% of U.S. youth soccer players return from U9/U10 to U11/U12, meaning up to 30% drop out by those ages, according to SoccerWire.
And over a broader age span, the New York Times reports that 6– to 12-year-olds playing soccer regularly has dropped nearly 14% in just three years, amounting to almost 600,000 kids lost from the game, according to the U.S. Soccer Foundation.
We don’t need “perfect” data to know the game is bleeding players. We need the courage to make that change.

“Dropouts Happen Everywhere”
Sure, kids quit hobbies all the time.
But soccer has a unique opportunity, and responsibility, to do better.
This isn’t just a sport.
It’s about losing Connection. Confidence. Community.

“Four Goals Don’t Make Better Players” 🥅🥅🥅🥅
They make better experiences.
More ball touches. More goals. More goal celebrations.
And yes, better players often come from better experiences.
Quad-Goal Soccer isn’t a fix-all. It’s a fresh start.

“The U.S. Isn’t Europe”
Exactly. That’s why we need our own solutions.
Quad-Goal Soccer isn’t imported. It’s Inspired.
Built for our culture. Our communities. Our kids.

“Change Is Risky” ⚠️
So is standing still.
The game? Fractured, Expensive, and often Exclusive.
Quad-Goal Soccer isn’t just an addition; it’s a reset.
Simple. Joyful. Inclusive. And built to have FUN!.

Bottom Line: ❤️
I’m not asking you to believe in Quad-Goal Soccer.
I’m asking you to believe in kids.
To Anonymous. Thank you for the challenge.
To everyone else. These are your kids. Use your voice. Challenge ours.
Because silence isn’t neutral; it’s a vote for the status quo.
And if WE stay quiet, kids will keep quitting in their teens.
Let’s work together to make sure they don’t … Starting NOW!
